HEALTH FAIR
Community Nutrition Field Experience
My group and I created a six-minute presentation for a health fair at an elementary school. The group of kids we presented to were from ages five to eleven.
The project required a detailed lesson plan. This hands-on experience taught me many things such as how to complete each portion of a lesson plan, how to plan a presentation, and time-management. Furthermore, it was a great experience to be creative and learn more about the different aspects of educating a population on nutrition.
There are links to the lesson plan and class pitch below!

COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Penn State Drinking Culture
I conducted a throughout needs assessment for the community of Penn State University. My research focused on students in regards to the drinking culture at Penn State University. I provided information on all parts of a needs assessment, including health needs, developmental needs, educational needs, and resource needs. I also provided interviews of students, a thorough discussion, and recommendations.
